Welcome to Year 3 with Mrs Russell (3DR) Miss Cecil (3KC) and Mrs Del Monte (Pine)

We are looking forward to a really exciting year with lots of learning and fun.

Homework Expectations

For Maths, the children will use TT Rockstars at home and their logins can be found in their Reading Records. In Year 3, we focus on 3x, 4x and 8 x tables but learning all their tables is very useful. The children should already know 2x, 5x and 10x tables from Year 2. 

Spellings are given out on a Friday and some of these will be tested by dictation the following Friday but no spelling score will be sent home. The children can practise on Spelling Bee in and out of school. Logins can be found in your child's Reading Record. 

Children are provided with Reading Records and are expected to read 5 times during the week  at home. This will help them to develop their vocabulary and understanding of how to write and communicate well. It will also help them to develop strong comprehension and understanding, while hopefully developing a love of English. Reading Records are checked daily at school by teachers.

PE

3DR - Indoor PE on Monday afternoons, outdoor PE on Thursday afternoons.

3KC - Indoor PE on Friday afternoons, outdoor PE on Monday afternoons.

Pine - Indoor PE on Friday afternoons, outdoor PE on Tuesday afternoons.
